About Charlotte
Charlotte has worked in the IT and accounting industries for nearly 30 years. She first started her career as a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a tobacco company before deciding that IT was the place to be, subsequently taking a job at Sage in a support capacity for its accounts software packages.
It was during her stint at Sage that Charlotte began to study for her Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications. Enjoying customer interaction and building a fantastic rapport with clients, she continued her supporting role by moving to a small legal accounts software business where she was introduced to the discipline of legal accounting.
In this position, Charlotte gained experience in many areas including first, second and third line support, training, SQL programming, product testing and accompanying documentation production. During this period, she completed her Institute of Legal Finance & Management (ILFM) diploma thereby empowering her to support customers even better by understanding the legal accounting rules, regulations and requirements for solicitors.
Working at the same company for over 18 years, she progressed to Senior Support Consultant. Approaching a milestone birthday, she decided to embark upon a new challenge, seeing her employed at Jayva by Nicola Moore-Miller with whom she’s been familiar in a professional capacity for two decades - along with other members of the Jayva team.
At Jayva, Charlotte looks after implementation projects for LEAP Legal Software, and other case management and legal accounts systems, with duties spanning project coordination, to installation, to training.
When not working, Charlotte loves baking and singing. She’s a member of a local ladies’ choir, and has aspirations of re-living her passion for musical theatre when time allows. Having three young boys also keeps her very busy.
