About Piet
BICT-qualified since 2020, IT professional who’s dedicated the last four years of his career to the practice management software marketplace, and customer service devotee who’s made it his self-proclaimed mission to be the bridge to business efficiency, Piet is a member of, and valuable addition to, the Jayva implementation team.
Based in Palmerston North, New Zealand, operating in hybrid capacity, Piet supports clients migrating to new software with comprehensive implementation consulting and training services, ensuring the smoothest-possible transition and optimum client satisfaction, ultimately helping law firms maximise productivity and performance through advanced software functionality and automation.
As someone who’s undergone a software migration to LEAP Legal Software in the guise of a client, and whose wife is a lawyer and director of a law firm using LEAP, Piet’s ideally placed to advise Jayva’s clients on steps, constraints and expectations around the rollout of LEAP and other applications.
Piet’s colourful background studying a criminology degree with twelve years’ experience in crime, safety and probation-type roles afford him a unique insight into protection elements of practice management software including data privacy and cybersecurity.
Outside of the workplace, Piet spends his leisure time between his wife and children, their lifestyle block and church. Situated outside of the main township, most days he’s busy ferrying his teenage daughters to a myriad of extra-curricular activities. He can also be found tending to a menagerie of animals, including three bad dogs, nine disrespectful sheep, two pet cows, nine largely unproductive chickens, an uncontrollable goat and a very loud cockatiel. Pest control is high on Piet’s to-do list although, as any ‘lifestyler’ can attest, the list never gets any shorter, while the gorse continues to get longer. On Sundays, Piet and his family attend a local church where he assists with sound desk and discusses the tribulations of lifestyle blocks with his friends.
